The southern border is wide open allowing drugs and criminals to invade out country. Former National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd explains how this happened and how we can fix it on America Uncanceled with Matt Schlapp.
Judd identifies the root of the border issue as the policy of the Biden-Harris administration. Border patrol has never in the history of the country practiced catch and release on the scale they do under President Biden and Vice President Harris. The result is catastrophic with worldwide reverberations.
“Not only did that encourage people to cross our borders illegally, but it allowed the cartels then to revamp their strategies and allowed them to branch out throughout the entire world, and it’s allowed them to generate billions of dollars in revenue. Where the cartels used to just strictly be in drug trafficking, now they’re in illegal immigration as well,” said Judd.
The open border policy has allowed drug and human trafficking to flourish. Over 10 million people have crossed into the United States illegally and at least 2 million are got-aways. Many of these illegal immigrants are violent criminals and gang members who are harming and murdering American citizens.
President Trump’s tough immigration and closed border policies will significantly help make America safe and uphold our laws. Judd predicts that just the rhetoric and initial enforcement of the policies will help tremendously to secure the border.
“The moment we actually start taking people into custody who are here in the United States illegally, people will start leaving on their own,” noted Judd.
