2024 Election Latest: Trump to speak at RNC as convention enters fourth day, Biden has COVID-19

The Republican National Convention will soon culminate with former President Donald Trump expected to accept the party’s presidential nomination, achieving a comeback four years in the making and anticipated even more in the past week after Saturday’s assassination attempt...

Pat Nolan: "Will the First Step Act help Trump with minority voters?"

Pat Nolan, director emeritus of the CPAC Foundation Nolan Center for Justice, explains the potential impact of the First Step Act on the 2024 election. The Act has significantly reduced recidivism and positively affected minority communities which, in turn, might boost Trump's support among Black and Hispanic voters.

“Thousands released under the First Step Act have successfully transitioned home, living in communities, supporting their families, and being good neighbors,” says Nolan.

Polls indicate a dramatic increase in Trump’s support among Black and Hispanic voters, possibly due to the Act’s success. This shift could impact the presidential race and legislative competitiveness.
