CPAC FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES THE NEW DIRECTORS FOR THE CENTER FOR COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND THE NOLAN CENTER FOR JUSTICE

The CPAC Foundation announced that Frank Russo will serve as the Director of the new CPAC Center for Combating Human Trafficking and Patrick Plein has been promoted to Director of the Nolan Center for Justice.

As Director of our newfound CPAC Center for Combating Human Trafficking, Mr. Russo will lead policy efforts that address the needs of victims of trafficking, provide law enforcement the tools to hold traffickers accountable, and support cross collaboration between domestic and international partners to ensure that modern day slavery is brought to an end.

Before joining us at CPAC, Mr. Russo was the Director of Government and Legislative Affairs at the National District Attorneys Association, where he assisted in drafting and passing legislation that strengthened the protections for victims of trafficking and provided pathways to rehabilitation for those who survived abuse. He also brings experience from Capitol Hill, where he worked with the House Judiciary Committee under Representative Bob Goodlatte, and for the Senate Judiciary Committee under Senator Ted Cruz.

In addition to his work leading the Center to Combat Human Trafficking, Mr. Russo will continue in his roles as Associate General Counsel and as Director of the CPAC Foundation Prosecutors and Law Enforcement Advisory Council.

Mr. Plein has been with the CPAC Foundation’s Nolan Center since 2016 and is a leader in several successful justice reform campaigns across the country. In his new role, Mr. Plein will oversee day-to-day operations of the Nolan Center’s work of improving public safety and furthering needed justice reform. Additionally, Mr. Plein will continue his work at our (C4) CPAC serving as an active voice in State Capitols across the nation.

The Center for Combating Human Trafficking will work alongside the Nolan Center for Justice to educate the public and advance policy efforts that improve public safety and ensure equal justice for all.

Announced at the Washington D.C. premiere of “Sound of Freedom,” CPAC Foundation’s Center for Combating Human Trafficking will leverage an expansive grassroots network to drive policies which improve cross-collaboration between domestic and international law enforcement agencies, ensure tough and accountable penalties against traffickers, and support victims in reintegrating into society.

The Nolan Center for Justice has become a trusted resource for the conservative perspective on justice reform issues since it was founded by Pat Nolan over a decade ago. Working to advance the core values of liberty, accountability, and fiscal responsibility – the Nolan Center is active in promoting policies that improve the safety of our communities, reduce wasteful government spending, support our law enforcement, and protect human dignity in our justice system.
