ACU Foundation Releases Latest Scores of New York State Legislature

The American Conservative Union Foundation conducts an annual, in-depth analysis to rate all 8,000 lawmakers in America, revealing their positions on a wide variety of issues directly affecting our communities and families.

NEW YORK RANKED IN THE TOP 10 AS MOST LIBERAL
New CPAC and ACUF analysis reveals the policies that are sending New Yorkers packing

 


ALEXANDRIA, VA (Oct. 19, 2021)– Bad policies and leftist politicians are driving New Yorkers out of the state and to the sun belt. That’s according to a new analysis conducted by the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, and the American Conservative Union Foundation, (ACUF). The data shows policies and voting patterns such as the signing of SB 7197 into law, which is a clear infringement upon religious liberty; distinguishes New York with having the 8th most liberal legislature in the United States.

“As New York continues to grow as the Left’s breeding ground for radical policy proposals, New Yorkers have had enough, and are migrating out at the highest rate in the country,” ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp. “It is no surprise that the state they are all flocking to the most is Florida, where the leadership of Gov. DeSantis has propelled the state to the top slot in ACUF’s ratings.” 


Florida ranks number 1, as having the most conservative state legislature in the union. ACUF annually produces scorecards for each of the 50 states, revealing how the more than 8-thousand elected officials across the country view the role of government and the policies that directly affect their citizens.
