The American Conservative Union Foundation conducts an annual, in-depth analysis to rate all 8,000 lawmakers in America, revealing their positions on a wide variety of issues directly affecting our communities and families.

CPAC Returning to Florida:
New State Legislative Scorecard Released

 


ALEXANDRIA, VA (November 16, 2021)—Led by Gov. Ron DeSantis, Florida’s legislature prioritized freedom over government mandates and new taxes, according to recently released analysis of Florida’s legislature from CPAC. Republicans stood together to pass major conservative priorities and voted with the conservative position on bills an unparalleled 94% of the time.

As blue state’s fight against returning to normal, Gov. DeSantis rejected ‘Doctor’ Fauci’s harmful mandates and set Florida on the fastest recovery from the Chinese coronavirus,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “We too are dismissing the failed policies of the regressive left and are yet again returning CPAC, the largest gathering of conservative in the world, to the great state of Florida.”


Republican member’s of the Florida legislature will be eligible to receive awards at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) taking place in Orlando, Florida at the Rosen Shingle Creek from February 24-27, 2022 for voting with the conservative position on legislation more than 80% of the time.

Among the 63 roll call votes scored by the American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF) are the major election reform meant to prevent ballot harvesting (S 90), the bill protecting women’s athletics (S 1028), the tax reform package (S 50), legislation aimed at reigning in big tech companies (S 7072), and the expansion of school choice (H 7045).


ACUF’s Ratings of Congress and Ratings of the States are initiatives of American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF)’s Center for Legislative Accountability (CLA). These ratings are designed to reflect how over 8,000 elected officials across the nation view the role of government while illustrating the differences between chambers of the legislature and revealing lawmakers’ positions across 186 policy areas that directly affect citizens.
